Mike’s primary duties include constructing global portfolios that capture market return while minimizing cost and tax consequences to the client. His investment strategies are based on modern portfolio theory, Nobel Prize winning research, and the efficient market theory.
In 1999, Mike graduated Magna Cum Laude from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology and a minor in chemistry. His analytical background led him to research in the field of finance and the foundation for his belief in efficient markets.
Using asset allocation, the portfolios that Mike constructs seek to achieve the highest rate of return for any amount of risk; or, from an alternative perspective, the least amount of risk for any given amount of return.
In the past Mike held several FINRA licenses, including the Series 7 and 24. He has also had experience with life, disability and both individual and group health insurance.
Outside of work, Mike serves as the Chairman of the board of directors for Metro Pittsburgh Youth for Christ. In his younger days, he was the assistant golf professional at Lindenwood Golf Course in Canonsburg, PA. When not working, Mike still enjoys golfing, CrossFit, and spending time with his wife and four children.
